Shield InfoSec was founded in Chennai in 2024 to bring information security to organisations that traditional consultancies often overlook — starting with a dedicated practice for political parties, alongside corporate, government, legal and financial, healthcare and education, and media and NGO clients across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Why We Started
Most cybersecurity firms apply the same playbook to every client. We saw organisations with very different risk profiles — a startup, a hospital, a political party's IT wing, a municipal body — being sold identical, generic packages. Shield exists to bring sector-specific expertise to each of them instead, with security operations built around how these organisations actually work.
Our Team
Our founding team brings B.Tech in Information Technology and MSc in Information Security qualifications, with hands-on experience across security auditing, SOC monitoring, and the compliance frameworks that matter for organisations operating in India — including ISO 27001, the DPDP Act 2023, and CERT-In directions.
