Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or engaging Shield InfoSec for services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
2. Our Services
Shield InfoSec provides information security services, including vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT), security audits, SOC-as-a-service monitoring, DPDP Act 2023 compliance support, dark web and threat intelligence monitoring, security awareness training, secure infrastructure setup, incident response, and dedicated political party IT security. The specific scope, deliverables, and pricing for any engagement are set out in a separate written proposal, not on this website.
3. Engagement Basis
Paid engagements are governed by a written proposal or scope of work and the applicable signed agreements, including an NDA where required. Free initial audits are provided at our discretion and do not create an ongoing obligation on either side. Any vulnerability assessment, penetration test or other security testing is performed only with written authorisation and within the agreed scope. The client is responsible for confirming that it has authority to approve the work and identifying any assets that are out of scope.
4. No Guarantee of Absolute Security
Security services reduce risk; they cannot eliminate it entirely. Shield does not guarantee that any system will be immune to compromise, and no report or assessment we deliver should be read as such a guarantee.
5. Intellectual Property
Reports, findings, and other deliverables produced for a client under a paid engagement belong to that client upon full payment, except for Shield's own pre-existing methodologies, tools, and templates, which remain Shield's property.
6. Confidentiality
Information shared with Shield during an engagement is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties, consistent with the NDA signed at the start of that engagement.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Shield's aggregate liability for claims arising from a specific paid engagement will not exceed the fees paid for that engagement. This clause is subject to any different written terms in the signed engagement agreement and does not limit liability to the extent such limitation is prohibited by law.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law and any dispute-resolution clause in a signed engagement agreement, courts of competent jurisdiction in Chennai, Tamil Nadu may hear disputes arising from these website terms.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
